Cork Leather - where does it come from?

Cork leather is a vegan leather made from the bark of the cork oak tree, and is a highly sustainable and completely vegan material.

Each tree is harvested every nine years, which means that some of its bark is stripped. This doesn't harm the tree at all, as the bark grows back completely, taking on a smoother texture after each harvest.

Harvesting actually helps the tree regenerate and extends its life.

Cork forests absorb thousands of tons of CO2 every day, provide nutrients for the soil, produce oxygen, and are home to many key plant and animal species.
